Part 2: Test reports on Ssangyong
Test 1: Ssangyong Kyron 2014 remote program:
Done with Lonsdor k518ise!
Step 1: Program key
Connect K518 host with vehicle via OBD
Select Immobilizer->SsangYong->Select from Type->Immobilizer->Type 2->Program key



(If don’t know which type to choose, try one by one. When select Type 1, it gave communication failed error. Type2 works)
Turn ignition switch to ON position with original key

Program complete. Program next key

Replace new key and turn on ignition
Program 2nd key success
Both keys can start car

Step 2: Program remote with
In Lonsdor k518, select SsangYong->Select from Type->Remote->Type 1->Program remote


Turn ignition off and remove key

Press and hold unlock/panic button of the remote for 2 secs, then release it

Program the new remote successfully

Remote control works!

Done!
Test 2: Ssangyong Kyron 2008 All Keys Lost
Done with OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS PAD2 or DP!

(Solved) DAS license key is corrupted

I got 05.2019 Xentry Windows 7 and the DAS is giving me the following massage:

Xentry/DAS activation help:
Step 1: Run StartKeyCenter to get ID for activation
Open “StartKeyCenter” on Desktop, to get the SD connect c4 Hardware ID and App ID

Complete Licence information (Hardware ID, App ID, StartDay, ExpirationDay), then click “Generate” to get License String

Copy License String, then go to “StartKeys”, click “Enter” to read StartKey, then “Save” data

Step 2: Reactivate Xentry/DAS
Go to Local Disk C:/ ProgramData/ LicDir, the copy and paste “lic_key_2.dat”, re-name as “lic-key_2.x4711”

Setup Properties of “lic-key_2.x4711”, select Read-only
Then open XENTRY Diagnostics Openshell and close it
(NOTE: this avoids the activation code to be lost and reactivate XENTRY)

OBDSTAR DP PLus is OK on Renault ESpace Megane Scenic Talisman key program

Renault (ESpace, Megane, Scenic, Talisman) key programming has solution now, that is OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS + one OBD2 convertor of the packed P001 adapter. It can program keys for these Renault cars via OBD.
A nice feature is the DP plus system comes with key info, pictures, tips and remote etc which can help the user easily use the machine.

Tap “DP”.

Choose “Diag Program”.

Tap “2015 -“.

DP plus will prompt “Please connect the [OBDII-16] and [Convertor] at the same time, otherwise make the dealer key failed.”

You see, obdstar DP plus allows the user to read Renault Espace 2015- info, pictures, tips and Remote.





Back to choose “Card key“.
Again get message “Please connect the [OBDII-16] and [Convertor] at the same time, otherwise make the dealer key failed.”
And then ” The function is available by connecting the server, please ensure the internet connection is normal.”

What diagnostic adapter do you prefer

Tell you what adapter people use most. Here are views after the vote in the forum dedicated to all’s favorite adapter to share pros and cons and learn tips and tricks.
Here is my 2cents or 2.03cents Canadian on Diagnostic Interfaces.
DG Tech DPA4 or 4+: #2 Choice Metal case makes it durable (must use original USB cable to take advantage of USB port protection)
NEXIQ USB Link: #1 Choice can also be used with toyota techstream and isuzu IDSS (Must be very careful to not break the usb port on older style)
Nexiq Magikey: Was the best back in the day (Need a PC with printer port to connect)
Nexiq LiteLink: Works with Snapon Modis (older J1708 Data Bus only)
Cummins Inline: RP1210a compliant for apps other than Cummins Insite (Doesnt work well with all rp1210a applications)
Movimento/Navlink: Only way to connect to TCU via IDS on Ford/Int LCF/CF Trucks??? (Freezes using servicemax on some laptops)
Navistar IC4: Small durable adapter (Bad customer support, hard to find drivers, USB cable is part of adapter)
Older PF-Diagnose adapter (B&B Electronics): Small durable adapter (serial cable connection)
Eaton Wireless: Long wireless range (intermittent data loss even at close range)
Noregon DLA: #3 Choice alternative to Nexiq and Dearborn (Large size/odd shape)
Caterpillar II: Only way to connect to some offroad equipment with CDL data Bus (Need PC with printer port)
This is just my opinion on the adapters above based on personal use.
There are other adapters available and other peoples results/opinions may differ.
